  • General Nursing and Midwifery is a diploma course of 3 years duration which is followed by internship of 6 months. The nurses of this field are in charge of taking care of women during their pregnancy and the post pregnancy period. The aim of this course is to render nurses who are highly skilled and qualified who contribute to the healthcare system as a crucial member. Midwifery is a field that is related to female health issues, during pregnancy, childbirth and after childbirth period. Nursing is a very noble profession. General nursing includes of general health care given in hospitals, clinics, school, colleges, military etc to sick people.

Under Graduate

  • Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is an undergraduate course of 2 years. The course is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. This course is taken up after General Nursing and Midwifery course by the students. The students need to be registered nurses after a diploma program in nursing from Indian Nursing Council recognized Institute of nursing, to be enrolled in this course. This course gives an advantage to the students to join Masters Course as they do not have to take one-year work experience like B.Sc. nursing course students. Immediately after this course, the students are eligible to take up M.Sc. nursing course.

Hostel

There is separate hostel facility in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Nursing inside the campus area. Spacious and well-furnished ventilated rooms are provided to the students staying in the hostel. The accommodation is placed in a very peaceful area so that students could concentrate in their study during their hostel hours. Full-time warden has been appointed to take care and watch the discipline of the students.

Drinking water and generator in case of power failure are available in the hostel area. There are lounges, recreation room with TV sets in each hostel provided for boys and girls. There are other modern amenities built for the students’ convenience so that they won’t have to worry about anything during their stay in the hostel. The girl’s hostel is given more safety with proper fence and cameras.

The mess facility provided by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Nursing comes in a healthy and hygienic pack. Inspection for the maintenance of cleanliness is done by the college hostel management team from time to time. All of the services that are provided by this college comes at a minimum rate.
