Naseema Institute of Optometry and Research is an educational institute formed in the memory of U.T. Naseema and U.T. Fareed. U.T. Naseema Fareed Memorial Education Trust is the main organizing body of this college which was formed in the year 2004. The college has been giving best optometry education and research programs to all of its students since its establishment. B.Sc. Optometry degree is a very practical course where one whole year is allocated for the internship where the nurses are given in hands-on training. Here the students are trained to successful optometry nurses by giving them competent knowledge and techniques about the subject matter. In these four years of study, the learners get the full knowledge of techniques, evaluation and management skills related to the visual system. At the end of the graduation year, they make themselves competent enough to examine the eyes and the visual system, diagnose the visual problem, recommend and give remedies, give proper treatment and so on.
