  • General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)
  • It is one of the specialized areas of nursing education. This course aims to prepare nurses who are competent and independent in carrying out an apt plan of action in the professional world. In St. George College of Nursing students are given more chance of interaction in the classes to build up understanding level of students. Teacher from every aspect tried to give students as much knowledge as they can while studying General Nursing and Midwifery here.

    Like all the different nursing colleges in India St. George College of Nursing too provides Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery course for 3 year which requires an internship of 6 months. General nursing includes of general health care given in hospitals, clinics, school, colleges, military etc to sick people. The nurses of this field are in charge of taking care of women during their pregnancy and the post pregnancy period. The aim of this course is to render nurses who are highly skilled and qualified who contribute to the healthcare system as a crucial member.

Hostel

Hostel with qualified warden being arranged for boys and girls separately with at most security is found in St. George College of Nursing. The hostels have got their own rules and regulations that these students must follow. The area is strictly disciplined and stringent and is followed strictly by the members of the hostel. The mess has a healthy and hygienic dining hall with hygienic food to the students. The students not from Bangalore are provided with their own food. The starters in these hostels are shaped and inducted in such a way so they may not have any problems adjusting with the new environment.
