Diploma Nursing Education

Diploma Nursing Education consists of Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery and General Nursing & Midwifery. It is a Certificate level degree in Nursing Category. Student apply for undergraduate Nursing degree after Diploma Nursing Education. ANM nursing is a diploma course of 2 years duration. Basically, ANM course is taken up in India by grass-root level female health workers. The course aims to train the students to work in rural healthcare setup with major focus on women, children and old people. ANM nursing students can work in the community healthcare setting both in rural as well as urban sector. While on the other hand, General Nursing and Midwifery is a course studied under the certified diploma degree. This course is taught for three years with an additional six months of internship. This program offers foundation education and nursing practice for all the students.This course is taken up so that the students may develop their knowledge of general health and move to the specific area of their choice like pharmacology, child care, pediatrics, orthopedics, nutrition and emergency nursing.

Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery(ANM)

ANM nursing is a diploma course of 2 years duration. Basically, ANM course is taken up in India by grass-root level female health workers. The course aims to train the students to work in rural healthcare setup with major focus on women, children and old people. ANM nursing students can work in the community healthcare setting both in rural as well as urban sector. The nurses who have done ANM are responsible for providing the necessary care to the area the person is in charge of in a safe and effectual way.

General Nursing & Midwifery(GNM)

General Nursing and Midwifery is a course studied under the certified diploma degree. This course is taught for three years with an additional six months of internship. This program offers foundation education and nursing practice for all the students. After the course completion, the nurses can be able to work in different health care firms where their qualification is accepted. As the General Nursing and Midwifery graduates complete the course, they are placed as in charge of taking care of women during their pregnancy and the post pregnancy period. It is one of the specialized areas of nursing education.

Diploma in Home Nursing

This course provides the nurses with full range of nursing education. Even though this course is not precisely bespoken to home health care, the courses and the clinical experiences provided in this course will qualify the graduates for license affirmation. Post Basic in Operation Room Nursing

The main role of Operating Room Nurse is to provide care for the patients before, during and after surgery or surgical procedures. These nurses also involve the role of a patient educator, circulating nurse and scrub nurse and potentially RN first assistant or operating room director with additional trainings. The circulating nurse category work within the operating site but outside the antiseptic field, scrub nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipments within the antiseptic field. The operating room nurses work in every type of healthcare facilities including hospitals, ambulatory or outpatient surgery centers and physician offices. These nurses after the completion of their post certificate course initially qualify RNs for the respective nursing positions. The candidates are encouraged to be prepared in critical care units and emergency rooms to gain program approval and after the 2 years of inaugural experience only the clinicians are worthy to take voluntary certificate examination in order to qualify as a full-fledged Operating Room Nurse.

Post Basic Diploma in Critical Care Nursing

Critical Care Nursing also referred as ICU Nursing, is a type of nursing that provides care to the patients that are in critical conditions.
